Stokke Tripp Trapp

Price: $220

The Stokke Tripp Trapp gives you more than your money's worth with its practicality and durability.

Stokke Tripp Trapp

BabyBjorn High Chair

Price: $300

Don't let this little chair fool you for it has some big features.

BabyBjorn High Chair

Starting at six months (with the use of the Baby Set accessory) and lasting all the way to adulthood, this sleek, modern and sometimes colorful high chair is a popular pick for parents. Kids love it because they feel like they are part of the dinner table -- by feeling confident, comfortable and secure.

  • Available in a wide range of colors
  • Easy to clean
  • Height and depth adjustable
  • Ergonomic seating position
  • Made from eco-friendly, natural, cultivated beech wood
  • Stokke Extended Gliders ensure the high chair will not tip backwards
  • Five-point safety harness included

Why I like the Stokke Tripp Trapp

The Tripp Trapp adjusts easily to the family table and is very easy to clean. I love that my son feels like he's part of the family instead of sitting off to the side during meals and/or craft time around the table.

Not only is it easy on the eyes, but the BabyBjorn high chair also seats baby in an ergonomic position. Perfect for tight spaces, this chair stores or travels easily for on-the-go parents and helps keep mealtime messes to a minimum. While the $300 price tag is a little hard to swallow, parents rave about the ease of use and cleaning, which makes this throne worth every penny -- to some.

  • Rounded tray for a snug fit and less mess
  • Three-position tray is attached to the high chair seat
  • Attached, non-adjustable footrest
  • Snap off, dishwasher-safe top tray for easy cleaning
  • Three-point harness
  • Made from recycled plastics and free of PVC, cadmium, lead, bromine and phthalates.

Why I like the BabyBjorn high chair

Even though the tray is not removable (preventing the high chair from being used as a seat against the table), the compact size of the BabyBjorn high chair keeps the seat close to the table, which encourages parent-child interaction. This high chair is one of the, if not the easiest high chair I've ever cleaned -- even after a spaghetti meal.

Peg Prima Pappa Best

Price: $225

It may not be modern or tiny for tight spaces, but Peg Perego high chairs are well-known and continue to be a favorite amongst parents -- not to mention it comes with all the bells and whistles.

Peg Prima Pappa Best

Valco Astro High Chair

Price: $150

If you're looking for a modern and practical high chair that is great for travel, the Valco Baby Astro is the one for you.

Valco Astro High Chair

The Prima Pappa Best has a double-layered tray that is dishwasher-safe and, with just one hand, can be removed fully so the high chair can be used as a seat at the table. The seat's fabric is stain-resistant, tailored and soft to the touch to keep baby happy and comfortable -- and the non-scratch wheels are lockable to provide added safety.

  • For use up to 45 pounds
  • Mesh storage pocket on the back of the seat
  • Three-height adjustable footrest
  • Seven height positions
  • Four recline positions with unique tilt-in-space feature
  • Folds easily for storage
  • Five-point harness

Why I like the Prima Pappa Best

The Prima Pappa Best can be used before baby can sit unsupported. This allows baby to sit at or near the dinner table while the rest of the family eats, promoting bonding and encouraging mealtime routine and habits. It's not the easiest high chair to clean, but the amazing features and nifty little storage pocket help to make up for it.

This lightweight high chair has a weight and fold similar to a hook-on high chair but the stability and everyday practicality of a standard-sized high chair.

  • For use from six months to 44 pounds
  • Non-adjustable seat cradles the child
  • Easy, compact fold
  • Large, removable dishwasher-safe tray with deep edges
  • Height-adjustable footrest
  • Dual safety locks
  • Lockable fold
  • Five-point harness

Why I like the Valco Baby Astro

The seat fabric is one piece and even though there are crevices, it's extremely easy to clean and care for. The tray removes (with the use of two hands) and allows the high chair to push up to most dining room tables. For travel, I much prefer this high chair to the few hook-on high chairs that I've tried -- it weighs less than my full diaper bag and is easy to transport.

Chicco High Chair

Price: $150

The color-coded buttons guide parents and caregivers to quickly adjust this high chair's three reclining positions and seven height positions.

Chicco Polly High Chair

Carter's High Chair

Price: $140

This beautiful wooden stand-alone high chair complements any home decor.

Carter's High Chair

The Chicco Polly comes complete with two cushioned seat pads and two tray options -- the main tray and a tray insert and a height-adjustable footrest.

  • For use up to 37 pounds
  • Slim fold for quick and easy storage
  • Wheel brakes for added safety
  • Seat fabrics are phthalate-free
  • Five-point harness

Why I like the Chicco Polly

This high chair is really one of the simplest high chairs to maneuver and use -- grandma had no problem figuring this one out! The best part about the Polly is its two seat fabrics. If you're going to have a padded seat, you might as well offer parents two of them because one will always be dirty!

The Whisper Classic Comfort high chair has a three-position recline and a soft, oversized seat pad that is removable for easy cleaning.

  • Non-adjustable footrest
  • Five-point harness
  • For use from six months to three years
  • One-handed adjustable, dishwasher-safe tray
  • Attached snack tray

Why I like the Whisper Classic Comfort high chair

This is a beautiful seat! Once baby gets older, you can remove the fabric, which makes cleanup even easier. The attached snack tray is perfect for entertaining a baby before mealtime. I use it for pre-dinner snacks while making final preparations and/or dishing out the meal for the family. That way, my son can't toss his entire plate overboard, but isn't getting antsy while waiting either.
