Mother's Day also conjures the wildly popular Listen to Your Mother show. Directors and producers from 24 cities share what they've learned about motherhood.

My motherhood mantra is 'this too shall pass.'

Michelle says, "My motherhood mantra is 'this too shall pass,' which can be a good thing when talking about trying times, like teething and potty trains. Other times, it's a reminder that all of this is so fleeting. The funny ages and stages, like the two years that my daughter would wear dresses that twirl, will also pass. Instead of trying to convince her otherwise, I just enjoyed her obsession."

Judy says, "My mom shared a number of things with me over and over: Be in the moment because it passes before you know it, focus on the positive because it not only affects you but everyone else, never allow anyone to go to bed angry, tell your kids you love them and hug them every day and trust your gut. Thanks, Mom!"
