The moms have spoken... their favorite room in the house, without a doubt, is their master bedroom! We have all of the details about this fun poll, including how to create a space in your home that's sure to become a favorite.

The master bedroom... by a landslide!

45 percent of you claimed it as the space that you love the most!

Although we're not surprised to hear that your favorite room in the house is your master bedroom, it is eye-opening that it won in such a shocking majority — 45 percent of you claimed it as the space that you love the most! Having a master bedroom that is a spot of sanctuary for you in your home goes such a long way for your sanity as a mom — even when the rest of your house is in complete chaos with soccer gear thrown inside the front entry and a stack of dishes in the sink higher than the Eiffel Tower, your bedroom can be a place for your to retreat. Often times, the master bedroom is also a kid-free zone in homes — a place where kids need to be invited to come in to try to preserve one little nook for mom and dad to have to themselves. We're also thrilled to see the master bedroom place so high on your list of favorites because that means that you're also placing your relationship with your spouse high on the importance scale! Couples who have a master bedroom that they love are sure to spend more time there together... if you catch our not-so-subtle drift.

The ironic second place tie

18 percent of moms claiming that their favorite room of the house is their kid's bedroom and 18 percent putting their favorite vote on whichever room is cleanest!

How could this not make you giggle? Second place in our poll was a tie with 18 percent of moms claiming that their favorite room of the house is their kid's bedroom... and another 18 percent putting their favorite vote on whichever room is cleanest! Since the last time your kid's room was also the cleanest room in the house was probably before you brought them home from the hospital as a newborn, there's something to be said about the second place winners in this poll being so completely opposite from one another. The best part about your favorite room also being the cleanest room means that you can easily transform any room in your home to become your favorite! Try this: Pick one room to focus on cleaning for each day of the week — for example, the kitchen on Mondays, the bathrooms on Tuesday, the office on Wednesday, etc... And see how you feel about those rooms as each one slowly becomes the cleanest. Wouldn't it be amazing to make all of the rooms in your home your favorites, simply because they are all clean?

Improving the last place spaces

9 percent for your kitchen and
9 percent for the family room

In a not-so-shocking last place, your kitchen was voted your favorite place in the house by just 9 percent of moms, with the family room coming in at 9 percent as well. The question is, how do we transform the rooms in our homes that are our least favorites into ones that we love spending time in, because, goodness knows, we see more of our kitchen and family rooms than our master bedrooms (while we're awake, that is!). Start by at least bumping them up to second place, by also making the kitchen and family room the cleanest spots in your home (or at least attempting to!). Considering that both rooms are high-traffic for families — where you spend the bulk amount of time together — put them first on your priority list when you're picking up or asking the kids to help with chores. Next, take a good look around your kitchen and family room and try to pinpoint any changes you'd like to make to improve how you feel about them: Would some new rugs for your kitchen make it a little more cheerful when you're making lunches in the morning? Or could rearranging the furniture in your family room help freshen it up? Sometimes, some simple changes can make a big difference!
