Well, well. Looks like someone had a bit too much fun last night! We've all been there and there's nothing worse than facing a hangover and your children... at the same time. Give one of these quick hangover cures a try, because we all know, there's nothing to make your toddler sound louder than a throbbing headache!
  1. Take two and call me after naptime

Ouch. Your head is pounding. And visions of the Champagne bottle you polished off with your book club girls are flashing before your tired eyes. First things first — grab a pain reliever to ease back into real life (but avoid painkillers with acetaminophen, such as Tylenol, which will hurt, not help, your poor, aching liver). Be sure to take them on a regular schedule throughout the day because there's nothing worse than thinking your hangover is gone, only to find out that you still have a dull, lingering, too-much-red-wine headache.

  2. Chug, chug, chug

    Isolated glass of water

And, remember to take those painkillers with a big, tall glass of water... or more! There's something to the theory of flushing the alcohol out of your system — and drinking good old-fashioned water will certainly help get things moving. On top of helping to dilute, if you will, the alcohol in your system, water will counteract the dehydrating effect of the alcohol and will replace any fluids you may have lost after, well, losing it, the night before. We'll leave it at that.

  3. Sweat it out

Okay, you can hardly sit up in bed without feeling like you're spinning, but we promise that although getting some exercise is going to wear you out, it's also going to make you feel better in the long-run. Put on your running shoes, fill up a water bottle, put your kiddos on their bikes and get outside. Not only will sweating out some of that alcohol you sucked down last night help you put your hangover behind you, but the fresh air will do wonders as well. Just remember to hydrate and avoid playgrounds with gobs of screaming children.

  4. Kid-tested, hung-over mom approved

Remember all of that Pedialyte that you picked up the last time your little ones had the flu? Pop it in the fridge before you head out for your night of fun — you'll thank us in the morning. Pedialyte and similar electrolyte replacement drinks are fantastic for hangover recoveries. While it will probably give you flashbacks to that disgusting glucose test drink that you had to gulp when you were pregnant, it will do wonders to improve the way you feel. Looking for a better tasting, more natural solution? Try Recharge, from R.W. Knudsen Family — your kids will love it too!

  5. Go green

Juicing is all the rage right now, but you don't have to be a Vitamix-addict to take advantage of this hangover remedy! Wheatgrass is filled with nutrients (like iron, protein, amino acid, enzymes and vitamins) that will kick-start your body back into feeling well. So, rise out the tequila from last night's shot glasses and fill them with a couple of ounces of wheatgrass juice instead! Wheatgrass juice can also be used in powder form, which is often easier to manage at home. Add some to your favorite smoothie or even to water for a quick, easy, healthy hangover cure.

The absolute best way to keep a hangover at bay? Prevent it in the first place with the basics — eat a solid meal before you head out for the night, drink a glass of water between each cocktail and take a painkiller before you go to bed. Oh, and have your kids spend the night at Grandma's. That is the best hangover cure you'll ever find!
