Have a long list of must-buy items but don't want to battle long lines and kid wrangling in the stores? Then this list of best shopping apps is just for you. From your tablet and/or smartphone, you can fill up your virtual shopping cart with everything you need and have it delivered right to your door. It's never been so easy to spend money.

Amazon

Best shopping apps: AmazonIn today's world, Amazon.com is synonymous with online shopping. So naturally, Amazon's mobile app is going to be listed at the top of this list of the best shopping apps. Using your Amazon account, it's easy to browse through the millions of products available on Amazon and add them to your wish list or your shopping cart with the press of a button.

My favorite thing about the Amazon mobile app, besides the fact that the app is free, is that items can be searched by a name, scanning a barcode or snapping a picture. I find this really useful when I'm out shopping and want to know if I can get a better deal online.

Zappos

Best shopping apps: ZapposKnown for its WOW service, Zappos has taken their great deals to the next level with their mobile app. Features of the Zappos shopping app include tracking of orders, the ability to return items from inside the app and notifications when products you want are in stock. For all you shoe-loving shoppers, you'll love this app and the free next day business shipping they offer.

It really is mobile shopping made simple with this app. No complaints here.

Wanelo

Best shopping apps: WaneloWanelo, which stands for Want, Need, Love, is filled with products you'll want to purchase posted by people. Follow people and stores with the app and then have fun exploring the many items available for sale. Don't want to buy an item quite yet? Save it to one of your collection boards, perhaps the one titled "Things I want as gifts" for later. Oh, and so you are fully informed about the app, it's said to be "dangerous for your free time and your wallet."

I love all of the beautiful products on the site and how easy it is to see the images. But I do wish that purchases could be made from within the app rather than being taken to the retailers' websites.

Fab.com

Best shopping apps: Fab.comFor a smile-guaranteed shopping experience, look no further than the Fab.com app. With departments ranging from home to pets, there's something for everyone. Plus, all orders over $49 qualify for free shipping and returns are easy as well as free.

I like how easy it is to navigate the different categories and that the shopping cart is accessible from every screen. Overall, I'd have to say it's a pretty fabulous shopping app.

Polyvore

Best shopping apps: PolyvorePolyvore takes mobile shopping one step further with its app that allows users to create and share collages with items they love. Make collages with your favorites in fashion, beauty and home and save them for others to enjoy. Items can be selected from within the collections to buy, although you will be taken to the sellers' websites for purchases. Need (or want) inspiration? Browse through the collages created by other fashionistas and add items you like from those collections to your own.

When viewing individual items, the app will show you similar items and other sets that include the item which is a nice feature. A lot of the items are pretty pricey so pay attention to that before you buy anything. Also, it would be nice if you could make purchases directly from the app. But hey, you get to make collages of your favorite things and that's always fun!

RedLaser

Best shopping apps: RedLaserRated as one of the best shopping apps by US Today and The New York Times, RedLaser is a barcode scanner, shopping assistant and QR code reader app from eBay. Not only does this app help you save money by finding the best deals online, it also searches for the items at your local retail stores. Details for items are given in the app including nutritional facts and allergen info for food products. If you decide to venture out for your purchases, store info is listed in the app or save yourself the hassle and order it from the retailer's website.

I like that RedLaser is designed to help shoppers save money and that it has items beyond clothes, shoes and furniture. The app is a little busy compared to the other shopping apps I've used but I suppose that's because it is trying to save you money.
