Beer Pong glowing from the inside out

The easiest method by far of adding a little glow to your game, combining glow sticks with clear plastic cups will add a little something extra to the evening fun.

Materials:

  • 1 short glow stick per cup
  • Clear plastic cups
  • Ping pong ball
  • Glow paint
  • Foam brush
  • Water or beer

Directions:

  1. First, paint at least 4 ping pong balls with glow paint and allow them to dry.
  2. Next, arrange your clear plastic cups in your usual beer pong formation.
  3. Finally, fill your cups halfway with beer or water and then break, shake and drop a short glow stick into each cup and let the games begin.

Ring of fire beer pong

Although you need to wait to prep most of this version of beer pong until right before you play, adhering a faux "ring of fire" to each beer pong cup will add a little extra awesomeness to your glow-in-the-dark beer pong game — especially when you pretend it's real fire.

Materials:

  • 2 glow stick bracelets and 1 connector per cup
  • Super glue
  • Plastic cups
  • Ping pong ball
  • Glow paint
  • Foam brush
  • Water or beer

Directions:

  1. First, paint at least 4 ping pong balls with glow paint and allow them to dry.
  2. Next, use 1 connector to attach 2 glow stick bracelet lengths together and then break and shake them to get the sticks to glow.
  3. Then use your super glue to adhere the glow stick to the cup just under the rim around the outside of the cup. You will have more length than you need so you can keep coiling where it overlaps. This also works with just a single section of glow bracelet when you face the glow stick side toward the opposite team. Don't worry about the back not glowing.
  4. Finally, arrange your cups in beer pong formation, fill your cups halfway with water or beer and school your guests on the art of having a good time.

Armed with glow paint and plastic cups, you can craft up a glow-in-the-dark beer pong set without the need for glow sticks.

Materials:

  • Glow paint
  • Plastic cups
  • Foam brush
  • Ping pong ball
  • Water or beer

Directions:

  1. First, paint at least 4 ping pong balls with glow paint and allow them to dry.
  2. Next, turn your plastic cups face down and use your foam brush to cover the outsides of each cup with glow paint. You don't necessarily have to cover the entire cup with paint; get creative and design stripes, dots or even numbers on your cups with the luminous stuff.
  3. Finally, once dry, arrange your cups in beer pong formation, fill your cups halfway with water or beer and watch your party glow with fun.
