Dreading morning sickness and aches and pains? Take a break from your worries and find out what real moms loved about being pregnant. We asked around and learned that there are surprisingly cool aspects of pregnancy that balance out the not-so-great parts.
Loving the body
"I loved being about to rock the big belly. I've always had a small gut but when I was pregnant, it just became part of the baby!" — Danielle
"I loved the belly. No lie, it was wonderful having an excuse to have a huge gut. It was cute, too." — Monica, mom of four.
"Clear skin, shiny hair." — Colleen, mom of three.
"Long nails and having people offering to help with stuff!" — Samantha, mom of two.
"I loved never having to make sure I'd zipped my fly. And I loved never having to 'suck it in.'" — Idoia, mom of four.
"I loved being about to rock the big belly. I've always had a small gut but when I was pregnant, it just became part of the baby! I started wearing more body-conscious clothing and showing off my belly instead of hiding it. Also the big belly balances out the butt and thighs! I now wear skinny jeans because of the confidence I gained wearing skinny jeans while pregnant. Something I never thought I could get away with." — Danielle, mom of two.
"Eating all day. And then more eating." — Mona
Loving the food
"I loved eating every couple hours, and I gave myself permission to buy 'expensive' healthy foods." — Candice, mom of two.
"Eating all day. And then more eating." — Mona, mom of two.
"I loved every second of being pregnant. Luckily, I never got sick through either pregnancy. I loved the feeling of growing a little being inside of me, I loved the extra attention from friends/family (and The Hubs, of course). I loved washing and folding tiny onesies and painting the bedrooms in preparation for cribs, rocking chairs, etc. Oh, and I loved the free pass to eat all the Mexican food I wanted. All. The. Time." — Molly, mom of two.
"The mental freedom of eating whatever and whenever I got the urge to, definitely. Though the boobs are pretty spectacular, too." — Terra, mom of three.

Loving the vibes
"Horniness." — Angie, mom of two.
"The vivid and sometimes erotic dreams I would have!" — Haley, mom of one.
Loving the baby
"My favorite thing was feeling the baby move or have hiccups! Also my boobs were awesome!" — Petra
"I love my belly growing. I love feeling the baby move. I even love the nausea because that's supposedly a good sign! I love every part, even the bad parts. I love being thirsty for water because it always makes me feel better. I hope I get to be pregnant again soon. I miss my bump and my baby terribly." — Tricia, mom of three.
"I absolutely loved the feeling of Nate moving around inside of me. It felt like a special secret, especially in the very beginning when nobody else could tell. This might not be a 'symptom' but it is still the part I remember most vividly about the experience, and what I missed the most after he was born." — Amy, mom of one.
