Your skin may not be one-size-fits-all. It’s okay to use products that address various skin care needs. These tips will help you get the most out of your skin care routine in just 10 minutes.

If you're like me, you may suffer from oily/acne prone areas, as well as have concerns about aging. The change in seasons can also affect your skin condition — so while you were packing on the moisturizer in the cold winter months, you may want to transition to lighter formulations in the spring and summer months.

Your skin care line may group their products according to skin type such as: dry, oily, sensitive, combination and aging. But don't be intimidated to pick and choose within categories!

For instance, I use a creamy cleanser for sensitive skin to remove my makeup and daily debris, and then I follow up with a second cleanse using an acne-prone gel cleanser with salicylic acid to gently exfoliate and remove oily buildup. Next, I rebalance my skin's pH with a sensitive skin toner. This is an important step in one's skin care routine but often skipped. I then moisturize with a replenishing and vitamin-rich serum layered with a moisturizer, depending on if my skin needs the extra hydration. I also use an eye cream or anti-aging cream on areas of concern to keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay!

This may seem like a lot but my entire routine takes only 10 minutes. Really! And that's all you need twice a day to maintain healthy, glowing skin. If you are unsure about what's right for your skin type, seek the advice of a professional. A licensed esthetician may offer you a complementary skin analysis and share with you tips on keeping your skin looking its best. A skin analysis must be done bare faced and it is best if it is done under a magnifying lamp.

As long as you are using a reputable line, don't be afraid to experiment until you find what's right for your skin type.
