If you're like most of the nation, you've made the resolution to get healthy and work out more in 2014. Get motivated and sweating in style with workout wear that is stylish and also matches your workout of choice.

Every year on Jan. 1, most of us make the resolution to get in shape. The gyms, running trails and yoga studios are packed for the first few weeks of January, and then come the first week of February, everything returns to normal. One way to get motivated and stick to your new workout routine is to update your workout wardrobe with all the latest styles. Not only that but if you're looking to try a new style of workout, perhaps switching from running every day to a barre class or trying Crossfit in place of hot yoga, then you may need new workout wear that matches the activities you'll be doing.

Yoga and barre wear

When it comes to trying hot yoga or barre classes, you want to avoid wearing loose fitting clothing that can get in the way of inverted poses or stretching on the barre. With many bodies packed into a small room, it may be cold outside but while in the class, it will tend to get very warm so it's best to stick with capri style pants and a tank top.

Running and walking

Running and walkingWhile most of us enjoy being outside and being active when the weather is nice, it's hard to stay motivated to go running or walking during the cold winter months. In order to stay motivated to get outside, having the proper wardrobe to stay warm is key. It's best to work in layers so you can take off your jacket as you get hot from the movement and put it back on as you cool down.

try^ Base Runner Hoodie, $98, and Dog Runner Pant, $118.

Accessorize^ Nike Free TR Fit 3 Print Training Shoe, $100.

The gym

The gym is one of the best places to get an all-around great workout. You can get your cardio and your strength training done all in one place in 60 minutes or less. If all the machines are full, you can usually join a class last minute so that your workout hour doesn't go to waste. In that case, you want to wear something that will be appropriate for any type of activity that you may pick up that day.
