Janet Frongillo, author of Mommy Mixology, says that when it comes to parenthood, there will always be calamities. "And for those, there should always be cocktails."

The humorous book Mommy Mixology mixes hilarious stories about the realities of parenthood with delicious cocktail recipes and great pictures of those cocktails. From conception to kindergarten, author Janet Frongillo, who blogs at muffintopmommy.com, has a cocktail for every occasion (for Mom, of course, not the kids).

Janet generously shared a sampling of her book with allParenting, so no matter what stage of early parenthood you're in, you'll have an adult beverage to accompany it. Click through for complete excerpts from Mommy Mixology, along with fun and delicious cocktail recipes and too-funny-for words, yet to-die-for pictures.

Note^What you're about to read is straight from the book, so the humor you'll enjoy here is just the beginning of what you'll find in Mommy Mixology!
