Not only do they quickly provide the body with essential vitamins and nutrients, but they also replenish lost fluid. Serves 1

Watermelons are in peak season during the summer months. High in vitamins A, C and B6, they are excellent in fresh juices because of their high water content.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cucumber
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2 cups watermelon, cubed
  • 1 to 2 sprigs mint
  • Lemon

Directions:

  1. Juice the cucumber, spinach, watermelon and mint in a juicing machine.
  2. Squeeze in lemon to taste and stir.
  3. Add ice and enjoy!

A tropical treat, pineapples are another summer fruit that was made to be juiced. High in vitamin C and manganese, pineapples are said to aid digestion and help the immune system stay healthy.

  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 to 3 stalks broccoli
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks

Directions: 

  1. Juice the celery, cucumber, broccoli and pineapple in a juicing machine.
  2. Add ice and enjoy!

Ingredients: 

  • 2 stalks celery
  • 5 medium or 3 large strawberries
  • 3 stalks kale
  • 1 cup cantaloupe, cubed
  • Lemon

Directions:

  1. Juice the celery, strawberries, kale and cantaloupe in a juicing machine.
  2. Squeeze in lemon to taste and stir.
  3. Add ice and enjoy!
