Serves 1 to 2

This green juice recipe is loaded with fruits and vegetables that are great for keeping the heart healthy. If for some reason you can't find fresh cranberries or pomegranate seeds, go ahead and substitute juice for these ingredients. Just make sure the juice doesn't have any added sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1-1/2 cups power greens (a blend of kale, Swiss chard and spinach)
  • 1 Fuji apple
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 inch fresh ginger
  • Squeeze of lemon, adjusted to taste

Directions: 

  1. Using a juicer, process everything but the lemon.
  2. Stir the juice and add in fresh-squeezed lemon juice to taste.
  3. Pour into a serving glass filled with ice and enjoy!

Serves 1 to 2

Stock up on a variety of pears and try them all in this pear spinach juice. Adding a touch of cinnamon at the end not only gives the drink a nice spice flavor, it is also good for promoting digestion.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 pear, core removed and sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions: 

  1. Using a juicer, process all ingredients except for the cinnamon.
  2. Add the cinnamon and whisk together to combine.
  3. Pour into a serving glass filled with ice and enjoy!

Give your body a fighting chance against free radicals with this immune-boosting juice. If the drink is a little too tart for you, cut back on the lemon or exchange it for fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Ingredients:

  • 5 to 6 stalks kale
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 1 Red Delicious apple
  • 1/2 fresh-squeezed lemon

Directions: 

  1. Using a juicer, process all ingredients except for the lemon.
  2. Stir the juice and add in fresh-squeezed lemon juice to taste.
  3. Pour into a serving glass filled with ice and enjoy!
