We're rethinking fish sticks! We're bringing the kids into the kitchen and putting them to work with this fun, family-friendly fish stick recipe and three dipping sauces to go with them.

Baked panko-crusted fish sticks

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 pounds tilapia fillets, cut into sticks
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • Coarse salt
  • Ground pepper
  • 2 cups panko crumbs

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and mist lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Place the egg in a shallow bowl, whisk with a fork and season with salt and pepper.
  4. In another shallow bowl, combine panko crumbs.
  5. Dip tilapia sticks into the beaten egg and shake off the excess.
  6. Dip fish into panko crumb mixture, pressing gently to help the crumbs adhere.
  7. Place on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake until lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  9. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, prepare the dipping sauces.

Honey mustard dipping sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and serve!

Lemon dill aioli

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Juice of half a lemon

Directions:

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well mixed.
  2. Place in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to come together.

Healthy ranch dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together until well blended.
  2. Place in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to come together.
