A rum and coffee liqueur, Kahlua stole our hearts many years ago. While we've all enjoyed it in the popular White Russian, it's time to break out of the box a little and try something different with these Kahlua cocktails.

Put down that White Russian cocktail and instead indulge in one of these Kahlua cocktails on National Kahlua Day! If you want something sweet to snack on while enjoying these cocktails, try some chocolate cake donuts with Kahlua glaze or a chocolate Kahlua cake. Because really, your day can never have too much Kahlua.

Mudslide cocktail

Serves 1

The mudslide cocktail is a popular drink that is sometimes served blended. While the frozen version is great in the summertime, we prefer ours on the rocks or straight up the rest of the year. If you feel like making yours a little fancy, swap out the vodka for vanilla vodka and serve the drink in a martini glass with a chocolate swirl. And if you're feeling a little frisky, make mudslide jello shots instead.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces vodka (or try vanilla vodka)
  • 1 ounce Kahlua
  • 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream liqueur

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice or serve straight up in a martini glass with a chocolate swirl.
